Susan became Artistic Director of the Grand Theatre in September, 2001.

Prior to becoming the Artistic Director of the Grand, Susan was Artistic Director of the Globe Theatre in Regina for 8 years.

She received her theatre training at the Department of Drama, University of Alberta focusing on acting. As a director, apprenticeships through the Vancouver Playhouse and the Stratford Festival proved invaluable. Throughout her career in theatre, Susan has worked as an actor, director and teacher. She has worked in theatres across the country. She has taught in various professional theatre training programs across the country.

Susan has received a YWCA Woman of Distinction award for her work in the Arts in Regina. She served on the Canada Council for the Arts, Board of Directors 1998 to 2001.

Recent directing assignments included Intimate Apparel; Hello, Doll;, A Christmas Story andThe Buddy Holly Story at The Grand Theatre.

This season is her last as Artistic Director of The Grand Theatre.
