Lieutenant Colonel Brock A. Millman, CD, raised in Woodstock and Windsor, Ontario, is currently researching Canadian War Policy in the later war years, and examining in particular its domestic sources and connections with post-war realities.

A graduate of Western University, the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) and McGill University, he has taught at the University of Windsor, University of British Columbia, and the Royal Military College.

LCol. Millman joined the Windsor Regiment as an Armoured Reconnaissance Trooper in 1981, later transferring to 4RCR in London. While serving as a Platoon Commander in Sierra Company, he underwent Infantry Officer training in Gagetown.

He has served in a succession of other units: Company Commander with the Canadian Grenadier Guards, the Essex Scottish, and the Seaforth Highlanders. In Montreal, he worked as G-3 Individual Training at District Number One HQ, G-3 Plans 2 at FMCHQ. In 1999, he was promoted to Major, moved to Kingston and worked at the 1st Canadian Division, LFDTS AND DAT 4-4.

He returned to London and 4RCR in 2001 and was appointed Office Commanding Sierra Company, then Deputy Commanding Officer. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 2005 and assumed command of the 4th Battalion, and Commander Home Station of The Royal Canadian Regiment.
